Shortly after leaving the raucous border town, we were in the beautiful Nepalese country side

We spent the first 10 days in our room sick with fever - both of us!

The busy streets of Thamel, Kathmandu

On our trek in the Annapurna area of the Himalayas

The porters never cease to impress

Taking a little rest before starting uphill again

The sheep were so skittish, they'd jump over walls to avoid bumping into us on the narrow trails

Walking through one of the many tiny mountain villages

Sunrise over the Annapurna Range, seen from Poon Hill

The peak of Annapurna South with our guide Babu

Dhaulageri, the fourth tallest mountain in the world

Still weary, we are enjoying the view

Annapurna South framed by Tibetan prayer flags

The water buffaloes sometimes surprised us

We had lunch in this town on Day #3 of the trek

Warming up in the kitchen before we set out again

Donkeys eating some breakfast before their workday begins

Ornate terracing literally covers the Himalayas

View of Annapurna South from Chomrung where we spent Night #4

With our guides, Babu and Shankar

The inside of a watermill, grinding millet and corn

We had lunch in a small village named after this "New Bridge"

Water Buffalo grazing near waterfall spray

Shankar, our porter extraordinaire

Fields of mustard and wheat

Chatting with village children

Michael rescued this tiny kitty from the roof then she bolted to the kitchen for some rice

An arranged marriage at a Hindu temple; the couple doesn't look too enthused as they probably just met

Feeding oranges to the monkeys at the aptly named Monkey Temple in Kathmandu

The monkeys rule the roost

Jumping from stupa to stupa

All knowing Buddha Eyes atop a stupa

At one of our favorite breakfast spots - New Orleans Cafe

Goodbye dinner for the Kantor expedition at Rumdoodle
